Rare Beauty Store Concept

Inspired by the brand’s Comfort Club concept, this store aims to combine the feeling of comfort and warmth in the color palette with spaces to create the traditional retail environment for Rare Beauty products.

Floor Plan/Zoning

For the overall space, I created key zones for designated purposes.

Zone 1 - The left entrance zone with height elements for impact

Zone 2 - The right entrance zone aims to be open and not feel like a traditional retail space.

Zone 3 - The area right behind the wall, all products are on display for testing on customized fixtures.

Zone 4 - The Comfort Club zone. The area for yoga and meditation.

More details below.

Entrance

The entrance area is where I created the most impactful compositions so that from the windows, the space and Rare Beauty can shine and catch your eyes. I implemented the warm color palette and rounded archways and edges to emphasize a welcoming feel in the space.

I utilized height for impact and wood for more warmth and texture. With the combination of both, I kept to my initial inspiration and brought some contrast in materials.

Retail

The range of products are all featured here in this area. I created custom fixtures for seamless merchandising for testing products and space to tuck inventory away.

Comfort Club

Fully fitted with wood to imitate a cozy yoga studio, this corner creates a designated space for yoga, meditation, or self-healing exercises.

Merchandising Guidelines

Alongside the fixture and my initial planning, I created guidelines to showcase the merchandising strategy. A lot of products have a range of shades or colors, so I created guidelines to help with seamless, cohesive execution and to help the fixture be successful. Here are just two pages of extensive guidelines.
